Eagle Scout Leadership Project #
David Morgan from Troop 80, sponsored by the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, was the 2nd Eagle Project at the Nobles Burnette Playground and installed a Playscape. Originally the equipment had been at the Steele Creek Church of Charlotte. The unit had been removed to allow the education building to expand. It was determined to be too large for the intended pre-school age group and was not reinstalled. David was able to have it donated to JPM and moved onsite. The project was to figure out how to reassemble the various parts without any diagrams and to replace any missing parts as the equipment had sat in a parking lot for two years. This is an example of a low cost Eagle Service Project: 12 bags of quick setting concrete at about $36, and 2 missing bolts. This project was completed in 2008.
